It is important to remember when comparing clinic success rates that clinics may have different criteria for patient acceptance, cycle cancellation, number of embryos to transfer and other factors which may influence pregnancy rates. Therefore, the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology cautions that "A comparison of clinic success rates may not be meaningful because patient medical characteristics and treatment approaches may vary from clinic to clinic."
